Believing in Success – years 6 – 8 testing their limits

Just before the Christmas break, our years six, seven and eight took to the Rock Wall at Ramstein Air Base, where they tested their climbing, boulder and slack line skills. For some students these tasks came naturally, for others it was a great achievement to overcome their natural fears and to trust their equipment, their team players and most importantly themselves.

In all SBW schools and across all SBW services, great emphasis is placed on "Believing in success" – the importance of trusting each other and having confidence in one’s own ability, daring to go beyond one’s own limits and taking small risks. Children and young people need challenges through which they can grow. "Believing in success" strengthens an individual’s competence to reach and expand the limits of their strength and ability by taking action with confidence. Fractal element 4, SBW Haus des Lernens.
