Welcome to the international school Westpfalz
A Passion for Education - Our aim is to encourage individuals to discover and expand their own identity, to focus on their own dreams, passions and potential, and to mature into personalities who are able both to cope with societal change and to actively shape the future.
The International School Westpfalz (ISW) is a house of learning, where teachers, students and parents work together to engage children in committed and active learning. We focus on the individual potential and the holistic development of your child. Not only do we aim to provide children with a high-quality education but we also believe in building life-skills such as respect, resilience, courage, empathy and self-confidence.
Our focus is on self-motivated and individual learning in a highly respectful, stress-free and creative environment. Our classrooms are places of interactive encounters. Our learning partners (students) are actively involved in shaping the lessons. We see ourselves not only as teachers and learning facilitators who help the children to attain educational goals and excellent marks, but do everything to ensure that they are supported in their personal development, so that the potential of each and every child is fully realised. This ensures that our children are well prepared for the future and the challenges of the dynamic 21st century.

Foundation
The International School Westpfalz opened its doors in 2017 as a pre-school and primary school. We have already grown to more than 200 students.
ISW was initiated by the SBW Haus des Lernens with support from the ZukunftsRegion Westpfalz and provides a significant addition to the educational opportunities available to parents in the region. Recognised by the state of Rheinland Pfalz, the International School Westpfalz is an accredited supplementary school ('anerkannte Ergänzungsschule'), authorised by the German Ministry of Education.

2017
Here we go
Grand opening of the International School Westpfalz Kindergarten and Primary Section in Ramstein-Miesenbach for the 2017/2018 school year.
2020
We grow
Opening of our Lower Secondary School Section in our new facility in Landstuhl, just a few minutes’ drive from our Primary Campus in Ramstein-Miesenbach.
2021
Cambridge International Certified School
Accredited as one of more than 10,000 Cambridge International certified schools in 160 countries Worldwide. ISW is certified to offer Cambridge Primary, Cambridge Lower Secondary, Cambridge Upper Secondary (leading to the International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) qualification), as well as the Cambridge Advanced Programme (AS and A levels entitling students to study at universities worldwide).
2022
Expansion completed for our 5th anniversary
International School Westpfalz has become an integral part of the educational infrastructure of the ZukunftsRegion Westpfalz. By opening Years 10 and 12 in 2022, ISW can offer for the first time the full educational spectrum from Kindergarten through to Year 12 and all at our new Landstuhl Campus.
