Evaluating Kinetic Energy – our budding Year nine scientists are on a discovery tour

Our young aspiring chemists undertaking practical work in order to better understand the Particle Theory of Matter and how supplying and removing energy from substances can alter their physical states.

Additionally, they also investigate how the addition of ‘impurities’ to pure substances alter the rate at which changes of states are achieved.

Having collected and analyzed their result, they were then better able to scientifically explain the processes involved as it relates to the arrangement of and the relative kinetic energy of particles in the various states of matter.
