Focus on the five senses for our Early Years
In Early Years, the children have been discovering the world around them and their bodies by exploring the senses of touch, taste, smell, sight, and hearing. After discussing each of the five senses individually, the children worked together to sort out different pictures into sense categories.
One of our groups connected this exploration to nature by going on a five-sense field walk, engaging their individual senses.
The other group have been taking this a step further during their science lessons. They have used magnifying glasses to explore sights in the classroom, and have listened to nature sounds. We have used our Science notebooks to draw what we heard and what we have seen.
Congratulations goes to our Early Years students for demonstrating such inquisitive minds.
