Nothing greater than our Year Two’s

Our Year Two class have been exploring numbers, place value and reviewing the concepts of greater than/less than. After finding out how tall each learning partner is, we created real life greater than/less than statements. In Science, we are exploring friction and the effect it has on movement. We made our own force meters and are preparing for an experiment with cars, carpets and bubble wrap! In English, we are exploring different elements of stories such as setting, character development and sequences of events. We wrote book reviews about our favorite stories and are preparing to write our own stories. Our unit of inquiry is focused around our experiences at school. We have discussed how long our journey to school is and compared this with other schools around the world. This topic will move onto our next project area – where Year Two will be reviewing different school opportunities around the world.
