Our Frohe Fest was a hit.. No rain and freezing winds will keep our spirits down!! Thank you all for joining us!

We would like to thank all of our Learning Partner’s for a fantastic Winter Show performance. We are so proud of each and everyone of you. Many thanks also goes to our music teacher, Tammy, for her amazing contribution.
We wish all ISW families, Learning Partners, our executive P&F team and staff members a peaceful and joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year. Looking forward to some fantastic new adventures in 2020!

ISW had a wonderful start into its third school year. With 46 new students and their families we celebrated our Newcomers Day on August 9th, 2019 before we started on Monday into our new school year.
We are delighted that ISW have now reached the amazing number of 101 students from 15 different nationalities and we are looking forward to a successful and exciting year 2019-2020.

Our Years 5 and 6 learning partners have made us immensely proud. All those weeks of pushing, questioning and tough love have paid off. Their PYP exhibition this week was superb! So many wonderful comments about your depth of knowledge, teamwork and creativity!

Our second annual ISW Family Summer Party took place once again at Bostalsee, Nohfelden on 15th June. Every family brought along a side dish and the ISW Parents and Friends laid on an amazing barbecue.
Nearly all of our families managed to attend and we had great fun both in and out of the water. With over eighty students and 12 nationalities – ISW is really on expansion course.

We are extremely proud to announce that our year 6 student, Caelan has won the title of “Mainland European Champion” in Irish Dancing (category under 12) for the 3rd year running. Caelan has been dancing since he was 3 years old and regularly attends competitions both in Europe and America. This latest competition was in Amsterdam.
We are so proud of Caelan is being so successful in pursuing his passion.

This year was the second annual Pirate Day at ISW. All of the children came dressed to impress. There were lots of “Arrrgh’s!” and “Ahoy matey’s!” Each classroom had something special planned for their hearties, including treasure hunts, making pirate hats, receiving a pirate name and a special pirate snack! Thank ye matey’s for participating, we can’t wait for next year.

ISW are holding their first official event for the small to middle sized companies’ business association – BVMW (Bundesverband mittelständische Wirtschaft Unternehmerverband Deutschlands e.V.) on Thursday 18th October at 8am. With over 500,000 members, BVMW is one of Germany’s largest business associations and ISW have been a member since June of this year.

On Saturday 16th June ISW Learning Partners and their families spent a glorious afternoon at Bostalsee complex. Learning partners enjoyed splashing around in the lake, playing games and generally relaxing with friends in the sunshine. The day was coordinated by our P&F executive team Wendy and Michelle and was the last P&F event this year. We would like to congratulate our years 5 & 6 students for their fantastic PYP Exhibition – the first one here at ISW and certainly a benchmark for all Exhibitions to come
The Grade 5/6 PYP Exhibition is a culminating experience where LP’s synthesize the essential elements of the PYP and share them with the whole school community. The exhibition is a collaborative open-ended inquiry that begins from personal interests and expands into a real-life issue or problem.
